Announcing our inaugural request for applications to our $25-million Digital Health Innovation Fund
HELP US BUILD A COLLABORATIVE DATA SHARING NETWORK
The Terry Fox Research Institute (TFRI) is pleased to announce the launch of our Request for Applications focused on private- and public-sector enterprises and organizations (including not-for-profits) across Canada. This opportunity will provide end-users, including data providers (e.g., medical oncologists) and users (e.g., data scientists), access to new funding for research projects that will involve the use of our Digital Health and Discovery Platform to enable data sharing across a federated network and machine-learning advancements to accelerate precision medicine.
This is an unprecedented opportunity to help develop our digital ecosystem and our scalable, multi-use, cloud-orchestrator platform as we work together to discover, prepare and analyze rich patient data with the goal of improving health outcomes of Canadians. Oncology and neurology research programs will be prioritized for this opportunity. Other disease areas that can benefit from similar types of data will also be considered.
The competition is open to all private-sector and public organizations (for example, academic, health and research institutions and their foundations, independently owned businesses or industries, multinational enterprises (MNEs), non-governmental organizations (NGOs), and granting agencies) from across Canada.
If you’re a part of any of the above organizations and work as an industry leader, health researcher, AI and data scientist in any of these new technologies, we invite you to learn more about the fund and submit an expression of interest.
